SOLD Fine Silver & Natural Stone Mountain Turquoise Pendant Necklace

This gorgeous necklace is made with a hand mined and hand cut, natural, 15 carat, Turquoise cab from the Stone Mountain mine in Nevada (to see more Stone Mountain turquoise click on the Nevada Cassidy's Stone Mountain link in my favorite links). The Turquoise is mounted in a hand made, .999 fine silver pendant. I made the pendant by making a mold of the butt end of an old shed Mule Deer antler. The stone is just about the same size of the knob on the end of the antler so it sits perfectly in the center. Pendant measures 2" x 1 1/3" x 1/2" and was made with approximately 30 grams of fine silver (pmc). The pendant is initialed and dated by me on the back and is hallmarked ",999".

I strung the pendant on a necklace made from natural Pilot Mountain, Nevada, Turquoise "UFO" beads in varying greens and blues, and Sterling Silver beads strung on nylon coated stainless steel wire. The necklace measures 18" including a Bali Silver "S" hook clasp.

The price of this necklace reflects the higher cost of natural, hand-cut Turquoise stones. Inexpensive Turquoise is dyed and is often not Turquoise at all. I make pieces like this for customers who are interested in owning quality natural American Turquoise stones. I also try to offer less expensive pieces of Stone Mountain Turquoise when I can.
