Fri. Jan. 9, Ring in the New Year With a New Ring! Many Rings Being Added This Week!!
Take it to work...if a boss or co-worker (or as Dilbert called them, Cow-orkers) attempts to deposit a new monkey on your back, pull out this Pre-Columbian monkey and tell them to "Talk to the Monkey!" They will turn away in disbelief and you may not ever see them again.
This beautiful brooch is from the Pre-Eagle, Pre-1948, era of Mexican silver history. It is a large 2 inches in diameter and the dangles at the bottom make it a full 3.25 inches long.
This is becoming a familiar design on the market, but this one has something extra special. The monkey is elevated above the decorative sterling ring, held up by 9 ribbons of sterling that create even more interest and appeal. (a-peel if you're a monkey)
The pin back works well, functioning as a c-clasp. The hallmarks are STERLING TAXCO and an additional symbol that I have not been able to identify. Do you know what it is? This could be a great treasure!
